What does converting to a new Storefront Space mean?

1 minute read

By converting to the new Storefront, you are replacing your Plasso spaces to an updated version that looks differently than your old spaces. Because of the new features and flexibility to subscriptions (proration, per-seat pricing, custom billing dates, etc..), subscriptions will no longer be handled in Stripe/PayPal, but rather by Plasso. Once you convert your space, all plans that have been created in Stripe via Plasso will be canceled and the data will be mapped over. All charges will still be done through Stripe/PayPal but the subscription logic (when and what to charge) will be handled by Plasso. If you haven’t already, check out what’s new here.

  • If you have webhooks that were built through Stripe for events in Plasso, you will have to migrate to our new webhook system. Contact david@plasso.com for more information.
  • If you have an embedded Billing or (old) Storefront space on your website, you’ll need to replace the old frontend code with the new frontend code.

Replace this code 👇
<script src='https://plasso.com/embed/v3/e.js'></script>

With this code 👇
<script src='https://plasso.com/embed/storefront.1.0.js"></script>

The new frontend code can also be found under the “Embed” section of your space setup dashboard. Read more about our new embeds and how to embed them.

  • Please note: You do not have to convert your space. The look and feel for the previous hosted and embedded versions of Storefront, Membership, and Billing will remain functional and appear as the day they were initially created. However, you will not be able to create new spaces using the old version of Plasso.
